Sevenoaks office market soars

The RO Group is delighted to announce that Brebners, the firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, has renewed its tenancy in One Suffolk Way, Sevenoaks for a further 12 years. This long term renewal of Brebners’ lease in Sevenoaks is a remarkable vote of confidence in the local economy, and in the commercial property sector generally. After almost two years in which most professionals had to work from home, it is a significant step for a firm of professionals to renew their tenancy for such a length of time.

A longstanding tenant in One Suffolk Way, Brebners has witnessed the RO Group’s substantial modernisation of the property in the last two years. Their renewal is a testament to the quality of the building and follows on the five year lease entered into by Stonebond Properties on the ground floor of One Suffolk Way in October 2021.

David Kershaw, Group Real Estate Director, the RO commented:

“During the last two years, some commentators had predicted the death of the office. They have been blind to realities that remain unchanged: the sense of the office as a crucial point of ideas exchange, and the need for regulated and other professionals to manage their teams from a physical location. The office can be avoided, but companies centred around people operate better when those people have a place where they can collaborate. There can be no substitute for real world evidence, and Brebners’ recommittal to One Suffolk Way for a further 12 years is exactly that.”

One Suffolk Way is an important commercial hub for Sevenoaks and is an imposing office building with generous on-site private parking. It is prominently situated in the town centre and is convenient for local amenities and public transport facilities. Sevenoaks railway station is a less than ten-minute walk away and junction 5 of the M25 is also within easy reach providing good access to the southern motorway network.

One Suffolk Way is also the first Fitwel certified multi-tenancy building in Kent. The Fitwel scheme is the world's leading certification system that optimises buildings to support health and wellbeing. Everything in the office space has been designed to create an inviting environment that improves occupant health and productivity. Employee wellness is an increasingly high priority for all modern businesses and this office certification not only puts employees’ health and wellbeing at the heart of the workplace, but also provides employers with formal recognition of these benefits.

The RO was advised by Womble Bond Dickinson.
