First Building in Kent to receive Fitwel certification
We are pleased to confirm that we are the first company to have secured Fitwel certification for a building in Kent. Fitwel is a building certification that supports healthier workplace environments to help improve occupant health, wellbeing and productivity.
The building, 1 Suffolk Way , in Sevenoaks joins three other RO buildings that have secured Fitwel certification. Dakota in Weybridge and One Dorset Street in Southampton, with GNR8 in Watford the latest development to achieve Fitwel certification.
Fitwel sets out over 55 evidence-based design and operational strategies that enhance buildings by addressing a broad range of health behaviours and risks. 1 Suffolk Way has received a 2 Star certification, from the 3 Star categorisation.
Built during the mid 1980’s, 1 Suffolk Way is an imposing office building with generous on-site private parking, conveniently situated for local amenities and public transport facilities. It has been recently upgraded to a very high standard to meet the requirements of the modern office occupier and can be configured to provide office space from 1,560 sq ft to 5,385 sq ft. The office space has cycle storage, separate shower room and changing facilities. The office is fully DDA compliant and includes a re-designed entrance hall with a lift to upper floors.
